Current Project: Kiswa, Uganda
This project was adopted on November 12, 2025. The community in Kiswa, Uganda lacks reasonable access to clean water. Those who collect water, mostly women and children, have to travel up to 2km to access the closest well, which is also shared with another community. Because of this, wait times are long, and many people spend multiple hours a day collecting water for their families. The other source of water is a tributary of the Nile River, which is likely contaminated with runoff, making people sick.
We are currently fundraising for our assessment trip, where we will conduct our baseline data collection and work with the community to investigate possible solutions. The goal of this project is to provide accessible and clean water to over 1000 people, making this our biggest project in 10 years.
Fundraising goal: $12,000
So far we have raised $4,100. We have $7,900 to go!
