Saadyah Ahmed, President
Saadyah Ahmed is a civil engineering student at the City College of New York who believes engineering is most meaningful when it serves people. Through her time with EWB-CCNY, she has helped coordinate projects, support committees, organize events, and strengthen the chapter as it continues to grow. As president, she hopes to build on that experience by creating a stronger community for members and helping EWB-CCNY make a lasting impact both at CCNY and in the communities it serves.

Frances Hurtado, Vice President
Frances Hurtado is a senior majoring in civil engineering at CCNY. She first learned about the clean water system that the club previously designed and built in Central America and was inspired by the project’s lasting impact. When Engineers Without Borders at CCNY was restarted in Fall 2024, she was excited to join and help continue its mission. As vice president, Frances is committed to growing the chapter by inspiring more students to get involved and fostering a shared passion for partnering with communities to address essential infrastructure and development needs.

Tyler Gomez, Treasurer
Tyler Gomez is a civil engineering student at the City College of New York who believes engineering is most meaningful when it serves communities and improves lives at scale. As treasurer of EWB-CCNY, he is committed to responsibly managing the chapter’s resources, supporting sustainable engineering initiatives, and helping ensure the success of projects that make a meaningful difference both locally and abroad.

Daniel Glenn-Schultz, Secretary
Daniel Glenn-Schultz is a 2nd year civil engineering student at the City College of New York. He is currently serving as the secretary of the City College Chapter and wants to use his skills in order to make a positive impact on communities both at home and abroad.

Taylor Caine, Project Lead
Taylor Caine is a senior civil engineering student at CCNY. Taylor has led multiple EWB-CCNY initiatives, including the re-founding of the chapter after Covid-19 and beginning our first international partnership in over 5 years. She is now the project lead for the Kiswa, Uganda project after her tenure as chapter president ended in 2026.

Nasim Sarder, Head of Grant Writing
Nasim is a senior structural engineering student at the City College of New York with an interest in hydraulic structures. Outside of engineering, he enjoys working on cars, rock climbing, and hiking. He is also an environmental activist who teaches high school students about heat mitigation, stormwater management, and invasive species removal. His career goals are to combine his passion for the environment with a specialization in concrete design to develop structural solutions for managing and controlling water bodies.

Chris Castillo is a 2nd year environmental engineering student at CCNY. Joining Engineers Without Borders has taught Chris about what students can do to help impoverished communities.
